PROPOSAL

To meet the need of locality, to facilitate employment for unemployed, to protect the cattle from slaughtering, to make aware the rural people about financial development through SHG(Self Help Group).Kamdhenu proposes to establish an ideal GOU SEVASHRAM in the district of Bolangir, Orissa, India.

DIARY SCHEME FOR 20 CROSS BREED COWS



1. Civil construction :




1. FOR COW

AREA = 40 sq. ft/cow

Total area = 800 sq. ft

Expenditure = Rs.90/sq. ft

Total expenditure = Rs. 72,000/-

2. FOR CALF

20 calf @ 20 sq. ft/calf

Total expenditure = Rs.36,000 /-

3. ISOLATION BOX

40 sq. ft/cow

Total area= 800 sq. ft; Total expenditure = Rs. 7,200/-

4. MILKING PARLOR @ 100 sq ft @ Rs. 90 / sq. ft; Total expenditure = Rs. 9,000/-
5. WATCH MAN ROOM/WORKER QUARTER for 3 worker = Rs.15,000/-
6. OFFICE ROOM = Rs.9,000/-
7. STORE ROOM = 100 sq. ft @ Rs. 90 / sq ft = Rs. 9,000/-

2. Recurring Expenditure:



Cost of cow decided as Rs. 1400 for 1 lit. ; Cost of a 14 lit producing cow = 1400 X 14 = Rs. 19,600/-

Cost of 20 cross breed cows producing 14 lit. Milk/day = Rs. 19,600 X 20 = Rs. 3, 92,000/-



(3)Transportation cost:

For 20 cross breed cows @ Rs. 500 / cow = Rs. 10,000/-



(4) Equipments:

Diary equipment @ Rs. 1000 / cow = Rs. 20,000/-

Chaff cutter with motor = Rs. 15,000/-

Milking machine = Rs.1, 00,000/- (optional)


(5) Fodder cultivation:

Fodder cultivation with irrigation facility for 4 Acre of land @ Rs. 5,000 / acre = Rs. 20,000/-

Feed cost for 1 month for 1st batch of 10 cows; Total cost@ Rs. 60 per day per cow = Rs. 20,000/-



(6) Insurance:

Insurance cost @ 4% of the cost of the cow cost = Rs. 16,000/-
